To take full advantage of the opportunities presented by Probabilistic Technology, we developed UNIPASSTM, a UNIfied Probabilistic Assessment Software System that can be used either independently or with other software tools to perform Probabilistic Analysis.

UNIPASS™can model uncertainties, compute probabilities and predict the most likely outcomes - analyzing risk, identifying key drivers and performing sensitivity analysis. Deterministic software tools may be used along with UNIPASS™ to build mathematical models.

Originally designed for engineering and aerospace applications, UNIPASS™ now offers outstanding benefits to a wide variety of industries. It represents a dramatic advancement in predictive tools, integrating easily into most existing environments without a significant learning curve or additional hardware investment.

Precision plus Flexibility Give You Powerful Results and Control

A familiar Windows interface makes UNIPASS™ easy to learn and use. The product works with the most popular operating systems, including Windows 95/98, Windows NT/2000 and Unix. In addition, UNIPASS™ provides a wide range of options to help you focus and target your analyses.

The key to efficient Probabilistic Analysis is the ability to identify one or more Most Probable Points (MPPs) quickly. UNIPASS™ identifies them with amazing speed, offering 11 different procedures for identifying MPPs, 4 methods for first-order probability calculation, and 8 methods for second-order probability calculation.

The general capabilities of UNIPASS™ are given below:

UNIPASS™ Special Features Defined

Probability Distribution Library:  UNIPASS™ has a library of 37 different probability distributions that can be used to define random variables including independent, dependent, and conditional.

Function Library: UNIPASS™ allows a user to define the limit-state function using 61 mathematical functions. This allows an individual function to be a function of a previously defined function.

Analysis Type: UNIPASS™ can perform 3 analysis types, including probability analysis; inverse probability analysis (identification of the most likely condition that will produce a predefined level of reliability); and calculation of the probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of response (PDF/CDF analysis).

Graphical User Interface: UNIPASS™ uses a familiar Windows-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) with pull-down and cascading menus. This helps new users get up to speed quickly.

Interfaces:  UNIPASS™can interface with commercial deterministic software such as MSC/NASTRAN™ finite element code. For any other external software, UNIPASS™ provides three ways to integrated: generic interface, customized Interface, and System Command Interface.

The special features of UNIPASS™ are summarized as

Key Benefits

  • Combine leading-edge predictive technologies with innovative approaches  to make powerful, informed decisions
  • Predict the future with accuracy and consistency
  • Identify the key factors that affect your business
