PredictionProbe Released UNIPASS™
5.7
 PredictionProbe has announced
on 7/30/2006 the release of UNIPASSTM
version 5.7, the newest version of its renowned probabilistic assessment
software. UNIPASS™
V5.7 is fully validated and tested software that can be operated by a
non-statistician using a desktop computer.
What are new in Version 5.71 (8/15/2006)?
Added a replot button in the Variable PDF/CDF Window for the case of the
parameter's values are entered manually rather than using the Spin Control.
Added a new input method for Weibull distribution: the conventional
parameters of beta and eta. in the a definition of Weibull distribution as
Removed a bug of the switch of on and off for the input method radio
button of Prob./Val./COV and Prob./Val./COV/XL. in the Variable Info Window.
Added the capability to detect the missing math operator (+, -, *, /,^)
between the constant value and the left parenthesis in the Equation Definition
Window. e.g., 2.5(rand1 - rand2).
Added the capability to detect the missing math operator (+, -, *, /,^)
between the right and the left parentheses in the Equation Definition Window.
e.g., (rand1 - rand2)(rand3 + rand4).
Prevented the g levels of limit state function in CDF/PDF analysis by
simulation method equal or outside the range of g values to avoid the underflow
or overflow problem.
Removed a bug of overwriting the array Val in Equation modular for the
case of large number of random functions (more than 30) to define a limit state
function.
Removed the bug to ADD and Update variable with discrete distributions in
the Variable Definition Window.
Modified the PDF/CDF for discrete distributions to show the discrete
characteristic property in these plots.
Added the capability to detect the case of using WINNT rather than WINDOWS
in XP operation system to avoid the message of "Not Found" of system initiate
file, system.ini.
