PredictionProbe Released UNIPASS™
4.3
PredictionProbe has announced
on 7/17/02 the release of UNIPASSTM
version 4.3, the newest version of its renowned probabilistic assessment
software. UNIPASS™
V4.3 is fully validated and tested software that can be operated by a
non-statistician using a desktop computer.
Combining an advanced and powerful feature set with an easy-to-use Windows
interface, UNIPASS™ is acclaimed for the precision and accuracy of its results.
It provides the largest number of probabilistic computational methods of any
product available, along with more analysis types and Most Probable Point
(MPP) identification methods. It allows the selection of over 37 statistical
distribution types for input random variables, and includes a library of over
61 functions, including
user-defined. The new version offers an advanced simulation-based MPP search method,
enhanced graphic functions and refinements to the interface with multi
external solvers without any coding, in response to
user requests.
Easy Ways to Interface with Multiple Software Systems Simultaneously
The UNIPASS™
interface modules allow simultaneous communication with multiple software
systems. While enhancing the capabilities of these software systems, UNIPASS™
minimizes the number of deterministic software runs needed to perform
Probabilistic Analysis. The existing interface options include:
This interface, without any coding, allows
simultaneous integration with one or more commercial and/or in-house software
systems with multiple input/output files
Customized Interface:
This interface allows simultaneous integration with
one or more commercial and/or in-house software systems with multiple
non-standardized input/output files
System Command Interface:
This interface provides a flexible and
robust alternative to Generic and Customized Interface to integrate with one
or more commercial and/or in-house software systems with multiple input/output
files
MSC/NASTRAN Interface: This interface
provides for performing probabilistic finite element analysis using MSC/NASTRAN
finite element code (interface with other finite element software may be
established using other interface options)
What are new in Version 4.3 Compared to Version 4.2? The new features
provided by Version 4.3 are summarized below:
- Improved the efficiency and stability of Non-gradient MPP Method for
probability analysis.
- Improved Parametric input file to allow more than 80 characters per line
for both Generic and Customized interfaces..
- Improve the Table of Contents of HTML output file such that it gives more
detailed information.
- Improved the Directional simulation method to provide the bounds of
failure probability.
- Improved Generic and Customized interfaces to work in both Windows NT and
98.
- Improved UNIPASS to accept the file name string which starting with a
numerical number in the Generic interface and Customized interface.
