PredictionProbe Released UNIPASS™
5.96
PredictionProbe
has announced on 10/05/2010 the release of UNIPASS^{TM}
version 5.96, the newest version of its renowned probabilistic assessment
software. UNIPASS™
V5.96 is fully validated and tested software that can be operated by a
nonstatistician using a desktop computer.
What are new in Version 5.96 (10/5/2010)

Xl , (2) mean, standard
deviation, Xu, (3) mean,
standard deviation, H.

Added two builtin math functions: EQUIVAL( ) and RUNSPISE( )

Added various text colors in the Table of Contents and key
information in the output files.

Added the capability of DLL approach in Fortran or C for
system command interface.

Detecting if the right parenthesis, ), followed by a
character other than operators: +, , *, /, ^, and ),
Unipass will insert a
multiplication operator, *, between the right parenthesis and the detected
character to avoid syntax error.

Allow space in the character string of path to command line,
parametric file name, input file name, and output file name of Generic
Interface.

Allow space in the character string of path to command line,
parametric file name, input file name, and output file name of Customized
Interface.

Allow space in the character string of path to command line of
external solver in System Command Interface.

Equation in the Function Definition Window is allowed extra
spaces can be broken into as many lines as it needs, provided no line exceeds
80 characters.

Because the compiler cannot recognize the characters [, ], {,
and }, Unipass will replace [ and { with left parenthesis, “(“, and replace
] and } with right parenthesis, “)”, to avoid syntax error.
What are new in Version 5.95B (3/15/2010)

directory of C:Program Files\Unipass\Examples\V~V\ABAQUS Example.

Added two new input methods for Normal Distribution: for Input
Method 6: mean and variance, for Input Method7: mean and precision.

Removed a bug in Equation Definition Window that originally
only compared the first 4 characters of equation name with UNIPASS macro
command name.

Added a statistical distribution of Inverted Chisquare.

Added a statistical distribution of Inverted Gamma .

Added a statistical distribution of Scaled Inverted
Chisquare

Added Conjugate distributions for Bayesian Analysis.

problems.

Output the correlation coefficient of gfunction and each
individual random variable or system problems in the Probability Analysis by
Monte Carlo simulation.
What are new in Version 5.94B(8/27/2009)
Fixed the problem for PDF/CDF Plotting for a hyperparametric
distributions when
120 DPI was selected in the Display of Control Panel.

Removed a bug in the Main Window for Inverse Probability Analysis

Fixed the problem of mode v/PDF Graph window when select "User Data:/PDF/CDF"
as Distribution type in Variable Definition Window.
What are new in Version 5.94A(7/27/2009)

Removed a bug in PREP.DLL for CDF/PDF Plot in Variable Definition Window
when input
method of Prob/Val/COV was selected for Chisquare distribution.

Fixed the problems for CDF/PDF Plot in Variable Definition Window when input
method
of CDF was selected for User CDF/PDF Data or CMF was selected for User CMF/PMF
Data.

Added the Input Data Checking before clicking the button of PDF/CDF Plot in
Variable
Definition Window.
What are new in Version 5.94(7/1/2009)

Added
the capability of Robust Design with constraints

Added
the capability of Optimization by simulation.

Added
a capability of sorting the data for the user defined distribution by PDF/CDF
data in order to view its plot in Variable Definition Window.

Removed
the bug in the plotting the scaled sensitivity with respected to standard
deviation for the system reliability problems.

Removed
a bug causing crash when open UNIPASS by "import UNIPASS.IN" for an existing
problem with user's defined distribution of PDF/CDF data.

Removed
a bug causing crash when UNIPASS GUI cannot find the LOG file after the
execution
of Unipass Solver, pass99_2.exe.

Added
the distribution types of User Data with Probability Mass Function (PMF) and
Cumulative Mass Function (CMF) for discrete random variables.

Completed
the PMF/CMF Plotting for a variable with distribution defined by PMF or
CMF.

Used
the flexible bands instead of constant bands in the storage of Equation
Modules
so that the number of random functions can be increased to 200 and more.

Removed
the bug creating extra starting and ending strings of "#####" in the section
of Problem Description in when UNIPASS used "Import UNIPASS.IN File".

Removed
a bug in PREP.DLL for CDF/PDF Plot in Variable Definition Window when input
method of Prob/Val/COV was selected for Chisquare distribution.

Fixed
the problems for CDF/PDF Plot in Variable Definition Window when input method
of CDF was selected for User CDF/PDF Data or CMF was selected for User CMF/PMF
Data.

Added
the Input Data Checking before clicking the button of PDF/CDF Plot in Variable
Definition Window.
What are new in Version 5.93(3/15/2009)

User
defined gradient calculation of limit state function in the user's provided
DLL, userg_dg.dll.

User
defined limit state function in the user's provided DLL, userg_dg.dll.

Call
user defined limit state function with multi sets of random variables for
parallel
process computation.

In the Standalone Mode, implemented the License Software Key, a softwarebased
licensing
without requiring to use hardware key.
What are new in Version 5.92 (11/10/2008)?
Added the sensitivity plot for the sensitivity of component probability
and associated
reliability index with respect to correlation coefficients for Class 2 and Class
4 random variables are available in Probability Analysis and Inverse Probability
Analysis.
Added the option of algorithms to calculate the gradient of limit state
function
for HLRF family MPP methods and Gradient Projection MPP methods.
Added the Delete All button in Correlation Coefficient Window to remove
all the entries
of correlation coefficients so that all the random variable in this group became
statistically independent.
Added Help button in Correlation Coefficient Window.
Removed the restriction of the location of the directory in C: drive for
"Documents
and Settings\\All Users" for storing the network key information. UNIPASS now
can
automatically detect the right path for this directory.
Removed all the restrictions for Problem Description Edit Box such that it
cannot
have starting word in each line as macro command type, cuts, /solv.
Added the capability of user defined distributions with user provided
functions stored
in a Fortran DLL, userfunf.dll, that defines the PDF/CDF and the associated
mean/standard
deviation, distribution parameters. User can define any distribution even that
the
distribution parameter is a random function of previous defined random variables
by this capability.
Created a Fortran static library, preplib.lib, that contains all the
UNIPASS builtin
statistical distributions so tat users can directly call them for CDF/PDF in the
user defined distributions in userfunf.dll.
Allowed users to enter the Max. Number of gfunction Calculation in
Simulation Analysis
with the scientific notation, e.g., 1e6 for 1000000.
Allowed user to enter the Number of Sample Points in Simulation Analysis
with the
scientific notation, e.g., 1e6 for 1000000.
